Payment of Fees

The City of Los Angeles’s Department of Cannabis Regulation (DCR) offers several ways to make DCR fee(s) payments.

Office of Finance

• Payments must be made in person (request an appointment via email at finance.csd.appt@lacity.org) or by mail and must be postmarked by the due date for timely payment.
• Payment Options: Cash, Check, Money Order, Credit Card.
• An individual may pay the full invoice OR the full amount of a single line item. Partial payments of a line item will not be accepted.

Department of Building and Safety’s (LADBS) Development Services Locations

• An appointment is not necessary and there are five LADBS Development Services Locations throughout the city.

Here are some things you need to know before you go:

1. Bring three copies of the invoice with you when you are making a payment to the LADBS Development Services office
2. Acceptable forms of payment: Checks (Money orders are not accepted).
   • Checks: Personal, company or a cashier's check from a United States bank, made payable to "City of Los Angeles."
   • DCR encourages payments via Check as not all DSC’s accept Cash payments. Only the Metro (Downtown) location accepts Cash.
3. A receipt will be provided to you
4. You must email a copy or photo of your receipt to DCR.Payments@lacity.org or you may drop off your receipt at DCR’s office to more quickly reflect the payment to your account. Make sure to keep a copy of the receipt for your records.

Please note, payments of tax receipts cannot be made at DBS Development Services locations. Those must be made through the City’s Office of Finance. You may contact the Office of Finance here.
